Hi,

I recently got a black 80 GB iPod Classic. However I keep having problems synching it with my pc. I can't seem to get more than a couple songs on it. I tried restoring the iPod and reinstalling iTunes. Also I tried it on my g/f's laptop. Still made a mess. My music first was on a external HD (WD MyBook 320 GB), but when i put it onto internal HD of my g/f's computer it didn't work either. Anyone got a fix or at least an idea?

Thnx in advance

Well I tried another cable. That didn't help. Now I again recovered the iPod and all was well until it reached 3.83 GB of audio and 112.8 MB of other stuff. At that point it was trying hard, before giving up and sending me a -1303 error again. I checked the iPod for its content and there were songs on there. Sadly I couldn't actually play them, since I have no headphones here.
But when I reconnected it said I only used 2.9 GB on audio (the other stuff didn't change) and started to synch again even though I haven't got the auto-synch function checked. Now it seems to have filled the iPod till 4.03 GB. This time however, no 'other stuff' according to iTunes on my iPod. I'm almost starting to think the harddisk is gone, leaving only 4.03 GB of space for me to put songs and movies.

Ah well... if no one has a fix I'll return it to the store and (hopefully) get a new one, which does work.

Nick
