iTunes trouble. Please help!

Earlier on, iTunes said that my music library was damaged. It said it would transfer the music files into a folder called 'iTunes music library damaged'. I haven't had any problems with my library before this. All the music that was 'damaged' is on my iPod, and my iPod works fine. If I delete all of my music off iTunes (when I reconnect my iPod) will the music on my iPod be deleted or transferred to iTunes?

Thanks in advance.

If you delete the music from itunes (which will make an empty iTunes library), and then connect your iPod, YES, the music on your iPod will be erased.

Unless it is purchased from the iTunes store - those tracks can be put back into itunes.

Backing up a bit, do you have a copy of an undamaged itunes library.itl file?

You can probably just rebuild your library - the music should still be on your PC.
