problem seeing caller's name

My problem is that if I want to see the caller's name, the number he/she is calling/texting me from has the be exactly the same as it is in my address book.

let's say that I have somebody's number in international format. Then when that someone calls me I only see the number in its local format (without +66 in this case) and fail to see the caller's number. or, if somebody texts me the text comes in international format but if I havent saved that particular number in int. format I again fail to see the number. Of course I could save all the number in both forms but it just feels dumb.
