I'm having trouble getting Xcode to work correctly with our perforce server. The repository is set up correctly, and the project is definitely opened in the correct location, however whenever I attempt to open a file it gives me a dialog with an option to SCM Edit. If I select this, nothing happens. When I next try to edit the file, the same thing happens.
Manually selecting edit from the file view has a similar problem - the file simply isn't checked out.
Anyone seen anything similar? Anyone know how to fix it?
<andy, i know the frustration when noone picks up the ball>
i have a similar problem on the latest xcode ide 3.1 <ide build 1099>. repository set up correctly, i can browse it. the menu is available, edit doesn't do anything.
here my observation though: in the scm window the commands are logged. i notice, that "p4 status" (as triggered by menu option scm>refresh entire project) has a wrong path to it: it takes the location of the xcode project file (.xcode) and ADDS the path of the client spec to it. however, the client spec should be taken as an absolute path.
anyone on how to enforce the perforce client spec path as ABSOLUTE path?
