Check this out.
I downloaded and installed this driver package and lost my keyboard and mouse response:
http://adcdownload.apple.com/MacOS_X/iousbfamily_log_release_for_mac_os_x_10.5.2_build9c31/iousbfamily308.4.0log.dmg

I cant even connect an external keyboard or mouse.

Great, so I guess I need to install the correct drivers for 10.4, which i believe to be these:
http://adcdownload.apple.com/DeveloperTools/iousbfamily_log_release_for_mac_os_x_10.4.11intel_build8s2167/iousbfamily277.4.1logintel.dmg

So I start my Macbook in Target Disk and open the installer on my Powermac G5, only it to say: +"This package should only be installed on a Macintosh with an Intel Processor"+ DUH! That's what I'm doing! Where were you when I was installing 105. drivers on 10.4?

So, can I force my way through or work around this?

Macbook 1,1 2GHz, Mac OS X (10.4.11), iMac G4, PowerMac G5,

Rather than adding yet more damage, what you need to do is remove the bad code that trashed your Mac. Since we don't know what was installed, do the following on your PowerMac (note that I'm assuming that what you installed comes as a .pkg or .mpkg):
1) Get & install [Pacifist|http://www.charlessoft.com>
2) Mount the .dmg from where you installed.
3) Use Pacifist to open the .pkg or .mpkg.
4) Study the directory structure where all the different files get placed, as well as their names.
5) Mount your MBP's HD in target mode, go into each different directory and remove the installed file(s).
6) Reboot the MBP and see if this has restored keyboard/mouse functionality.

Let us know if this helped.
