Does closed lid leave keyboard marks on screen?

Like my older Pismo, if I did not stick something between screen and keyboard, the screen would get all those key impressions all over it.

Is the MBA air in the same boat? Do I need to always stick that foamy sheet that came with it between the screen and keyboard when I shut the lid? Or is tolerance good enough now that keyboard keys don't touch the screen?

Reason I ask is I want to run the MBA connected to my larger 19" DVI display with lid shut and I don't want to leave that foamy sheet in there in case heating issues would be worse leaving that in.

Or does the MBA no longer breath through the keyboard and it does not matter if that foamy piece is left inside.

Thanks

Indeed, this seems to be the first Apple laptop in my memory that did not have that awful issue of keyboard marks on the screen. It has been a design problem since at least the iBook G3 (just called iBook then) all the way to the MacBooks of today.

The keyboard is not really recessed in though. It sits almost flush with the rest of the computer.
