"Copy files from remote computers to admin"

I notice in the comparisons of the ARD products that apple claims this is a feature in all versions. Can anyone enlighten me on how to copy a file from a client computer to the admin computer. I've looked all over in help and find nothing.
There are many times I need to grab a file from a client computer to use, but I always end up either emailing it to me (admin) or copying the file to a network drive and retrieving it from there. I don't want the user to be involved, I just want to snatch the file and work with it from within Apple Remote Desktop. I am using version 2.2 btw.

Thanks in advance!!!

Appreciate the responses, but this does not work for me.
I set the Preferences for ARD (system preferences/sharing) on a client computer to allow "copy items" (in fact I have every client set this way). I tried to drag a file form the client computer to my desktop and the cursor stops at the edge of the client Mac's screen and will go no farther. I am definitely in "control" mode.
I always assumed this setting "copy items" allowed me (admin) to copy items to their system and not the other way. I must be doing something wrong, but darned if I can figure out what!!

I am using ARD 2.2 on a G4 Tower running 10.4.11

Dragging and dropping files does not work going in either direction. The only way I can copy a file to a client is to drag it to the ARD window that lists the clients and it is copied to the selected client(s). Or to select "copy items" and drag the file to the resulting dialog. Dragging files from a client to my desktop or from my desktop to the client desktop(when in control mode) simply does not work.

Hi

What version of VNC is on the clients? If you launch ARD on the admin mac it should list the version in the main window. Version 2.2 is fairly old for Tiger Clients? There have been updates (if you've ran them) that can take the VNC Client upe to 3.2.1. Perhaps thats why its not working? VNC Server is too old for the VNC Client? You may need to upgrade to version 3?

Failing that you could create a new admin account (for both server and client) and try again. Perhaps some damaged/corrupted .plist and/or preference is causing the problem?

I can't remember if file dragging to admin worked in ARD2
the apple remote desktop site says it's new to ARD3

Remote Drag and Drop

Now there’s an easy and intuitive way to transfer files and folders between computers. The Remote Drag and Drop capability of Apple Remote Desktop 3 gives you pinpoint accuracy when moving items between your computers and a remote computer. You can also copy and paste information between systems.

Here is where I came up with the idea that this technique "should" work in ARD 2.2 (and for that matter the previous version) http://www.apple.com/remotedesktop/upgrade.html

where it says which versions have what features and includes this:

ARD 3 ARD2 ARD1.2
Copy files from remote computers to admin √ √ √
Which would indicate to me that any version of ARD will do this.... I guess it's a misprint..

I am running ARD 2.2, only one client (a nice shiny new iMac 24"!!) is running the 3.2.1 client, but I have no trouble administering it from ARD 2.2 ... Other clients are all running the 2.2 version of the client.

I guess I'll continue to do it the more complicated way, not about to pay full price for an "upgrade" ....

Thanks !!!!
