Hi, I'm working on a church computer, and we have the live firewire video showing on the preview window, but it says "Not Threaded", and when I try to capture, it says that I have to have it in VTR mode. We are trying to record video live, not tape and then playback/capture. Can anyone tell me what we are doing wrong?
We have Final Cut Express 3.5.1, Quicktime 7.0.1, and we're using a Canon GL2 camera with firewire out to the computer.
Thanks,

It sounds like you've selected the wrong Easy Setup. FCE is trying to control playback of your tape, but there's no tape to control! Assuming you're in the USA, I'd try the DV-NTSC DV Converter in the Easy Setup menu.
Thank you, Thank you!!!
Also, are there audio issue I should be aware of? How do I run audio into the computer, or does it come through the firewire output from the camera?
Thanks a million . . .
