I think your NFR key should automatically reactivate when your machine is connected to the internet... or at least, mine does.

ok............ i'll give it a go. I'm still using logic 6.3 on an os 9.1 platform. will that matter? and i think i have about 20 days left...... at about what day in the count down can i expect this automatic renewal to happen. and do i have to go to a certain site or just have logic open and the internet connected.... i really dont like to hook my production computer to the internet.
oh I see, you are on 9 with logic 6x... this might be different, it may not be handled automatically by the apple server.
if you have an NFR key I presume you must be a dealer or working with/for one. in which case, speak to your contact at apple.

There are many different types of NFR for different types of users (resellers, employees, trainers, vip users...). They are all handled differently and by different persons.
You have to email your contact person at Apple.

Again, there is no "one email" that handles all NFRs. I would try calling applecare and explain your situation.

That is correct: every person who got an NFR XSKey should know the person who gave them the NFR XSKey...
It will matter: Apple does not support Logic 6.3 (it is not an Apple product) and Emagic has shut down most of it's business, the only stuff that is left is here <http://www.emagic.de/support/support/index.php?lang=EN>
As far as I have heard you have NO chance getting your Logic 6 extended on Mac OS 9! All the suggestions in this forum were made because people assumed that you are using Logic Pro 7.1 and Mac OS X.

I didn't assume this at all. I still think that they should be contacting apple, because as far as I can tell, an NFR version of a no longer selling product is not something you would ideally want to be hanging on to. apple would be able to tell you if they'll change it over for a logic 7 one, or to have a license bought for it so you can keep running 6 on OS9. NFRs are after all demo versions, usually given out to dealers and/or VIPs, I don't see why they would want to maintain NFR licenses out there for software that they are no longer demo-ing to sell. doesn't mean you can't buy a normal license though.
need new activation code for NFR XS key
