ESB TDM Plug in missing

I try to use EXS Instruments on my DAE AUX objects. I am not able to do so, althoug I was able to do so in OS9 wiht out problems. Logic during start up complaints "ESB Plug In missing". Consequently when I try to make an Audio object to a TDM object, "direct TDM" is greyed out. Where might the plug in be gone? Can I download it anywere? Please help!

The manual says, as soon as I install a Protools System with a appropiate DAE, the TDM EXS should work too.

Yeh, but PT should be installed before you run the Logic installer, otherwise how can it find the Digidesign plugins folder to install the ESB to ?

What the manual says , right in the beginning, is:
We have also assumed that you have connected your TDM system to your Macintosh,

and have installed (and tested) the Pro Tools system software. A correctly installed and
operational ProTools system will ensure a reliable Logic Pro/DAE system.

David,

thanks for your valuable hints.
But as I have already done all installations, you will understand that i won't erase my harddisc and install everything from the beginning just to make the ESB plug-in work 😉
Should I run the LOGIC PRO installer again, now that Protools is installed? What happens to all my personalized files in such a case (EXS Instruments, Key Commands)?
My thinking might be wrong, but i assume, there must be a file on the harddisc somewhere in the system area, that represents the ESB Bridge. If I place that file in the right folder, the problem should be solved. Or is my thinking kind of wrong....I'm not shure...

Krakan,

your hint was the way to the success! We are one step forward now. We can see, what we used in our TDM EXS instruments. Thank you again!
But on the other hand, we can open the DAE AUX object EXS isntruments, but they show "no instrument" - all of them, although all the instruments that we used are in the list and their samples on the disc! So I still need help from someone more inside DAE and LOGIC 7.1

I have the same problem. This happens when I boot up Logic Pro:
"ESB TDM OSX" plug-in not found.(-10800)
I tried to reinstall but when I got to Customize it would not allow me to select the TDM section. (?)
I don't know whether this has anything to do with the fact that I upgraded from Logic Express. But there is nto TDM on the Express install at all.

Also, I don't use ProTools does this effect anything?

Moonsali,

First of all........ You need a Digidesign TDM system (ProTools MIX or ProTools HD hardware) to get use of it. If you have other hardware turn off DAE and DTDM in the "Audio hardware & drivers" window.
If your audio interface is Focusrite Saffire then you should only choose Core Audio in "Audio hardware & drivers".

Hope this will help.
