Deleted music... how do I recover it?!?!

ok I accidently deleted a good recording of my band and I want it back! is there anything I can do to get my song back? I know on a PC you can restore the whole computer to recover old data or something like that. Is this possible for a mac? BTW It's too late to use "command Z" in garageband.... I screwed up big time 😟
PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Did you delete a recording within a GB song and save? Then it's gone for good.

Or did you delete a GB project in the Finder? Then it should be in the Trash. Again, if you emptied the trash, it can only be found using special recovering software.

Just a word of caution - if you have emptied the Trash, you can use recovery software to retrieve a deleted file but obviously in the meantime your operating system can overwrite sectors on your drive belonging to the file you require, so don't save anything to the drive! And of course, the less free space you have left, the more likely it is to happen.
