i recently bought a printer and it will not connect to my mac, when i open my printer utilities and select the add printer option, my printer comes up on the screen but cannot find my printers model in the print using drop down menu.
Is there a different way to do it because i have had macs for the last 4 years and have never had this problem before?
Since you don't indicate which make and model the printer is, it's difficult to give specifics, but if your printer came with a disk containing MacOS drivers, did you install those? If it didn't, have you looked on the manufacturer's web site to see if there are MacOS drivers for that specific printer? If there are, download and install those, then try and add the printer again.
sorry i must have posted the wrong link, but it was the mac version i downloaded, and i tried usind cx but it didnt work just printed a load of random text.
i have been trying again to connect the printer using epson cx drivers and i have found one that works, but the prints are all faded, is this because it is the wrong driver?
