AE(b,g) and AE(n) plus DSL modem

Is it possible to have a single Verizon DSL modem support two different AE BSs simultaneously?

For two years used a snow AEBS connected to the DSL modem. Recently tried to add
AE(n) via ethernet cable from DSL to AE(n).

REASON: just added new MBP (2008) and wanted to connect at fastest speed, not be slowed down by other PBs running at b or g level wireless.

Using the Network utility I do see a speed difference 130MBits/s vs. 50 MBits.

Advice appreciated, especially ways to further investigate.

You can do what you want by setting one of the devices to bridge mode, allowing it to serve as a wireless bridge to the router (the other device).

Since the AEBSn is new and more feature-rich, I would use it as the router and as the wireless network for 802.11n devices. The older Snow device should be set up in bridge mode and continue to serve as the wireless access point for the 802.11b/g devices.
