Iphone Bluetooth disconection problems with a handsfree device.

I am using a TomTom GO730 GPS as a bluetooth handsfree device with my Iphone.
Easy to pair no problems but the connection keeps dropping random and reconnecting seconds later.
As a test I paired a motorola razor with the same GPS. There was no more disconnection problems with the gps(handsfree) unit.

Back to the iphone I decided as a test to disable the data roaming on the iphone and pair it to the unit again.

I do not know if makes sense or not but the bluetooth disconnection problems are gone!!!!

But is this the way it was suppose to be??? Should we keep the data roaming disconnected? or this is a problem on the software on the iphone?

Interesting Alex. Not sure how turning Data roaming on or off would then allow a more successful connection via Bluetooth.

Not unless it was somehow reducing some interference or stability issues which it may of caused while on.

Here is a couple suggestions I have you can also do for testing.

1. Update to 1.1.4 if you have not done so already

2. Reboot iPhone test BT again

3. Reset Network Settings - Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings - Confirm - iPhone reboots. Test BT again

4. Turn WiFi off, and then Test BT

5. If possible see if iPhone will connect with stable connection to any other TomTom Unit

6. Update TomTom if needed for possible software fixes

7. Contact iPhone Support if needed for further assistance.
