my ipod nano 2nd generation will not sync to itunes...i can open itunes & my library is there...ipod is plugged into computer is is charging from it...any help as to why pod wont connect to the tunes?
I'm having the same problem. Mine started out by telling me I didn't have enough memory to sync the additional music I had chosen. Even when I cut back to about half the choices it said the same thing. The memory wasn't even half full. So then I decided to restore it. BIG MISTAKE!! Now it won't sync anything at all. No error message, it says the sync is complete but there is nothing on the iPod. Any thoughts anyone?
ERRR!!!! I am so POed at my iPod. I plugged in my ipod Video G5 and wanted to sync more podcast, and it said out of memory! WTC! I still had 10 gb left! I then restored it. Holy Crap it made it worse! Now it won't sync frikin crap. Sorry, I am really mad right now. I am a Mac user, too! Macs don't mess up... Crap, crap, crap. PLZ PLZ PLZ SOMEONE ANSWER THIS QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I REALLY NEED MY RUNNING BUDDY!!!!!!!
OH! I GOT MY iPOD TO WORK AGAIN!
HERE IT IS!
Restart your computer with your iPod plugged in! I did it, and it synced! I don't know, b/c I restored my iPod, restarted the Computer, and it magically synced! Thank God! I hope I helped! I am using a Mac, by the way, hope it works with Windows, too!
I have the same problem. I have spent all day trying the different things they tell you to do. I haven't gone to "restore" because if it is not syncing then I will lose everything I have on the ipod. My only problem now is that I can't add songs.
It wasn't even detecting the ipod until I changed its letter. Now it detects it and says that it is syncing, but nothing happens.
Why won't it connect? How do I resolve this? Is there any possible support number to call?
I plug my nano into the computer and it says that it has 243gb (thats right, gigs) of other. That is after the reset, too. My ipod says there is nothing. My itunes not only does not read the ipod correctly, it wont do a synch. Help
okidays peeps. I reset my ipod. as in I held the top two buttons on the actual ipod down until the apple sign came up...I did this a few times then my itunes recognized my ipod. Good Luck 🙂
I felt the same way, Jfredsimons, but guys, don't be afraid to restore your ipod. It worked for me. Just hold the middle and menu buttons down at the same time and restart your computer with your ipod plugged in.
