Err=8008 HELP!!

Did you get this resolved?

If not then exit iTunes and go to "My Documents" and then browse to "My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Downloads\". Delete everything in this directory as this contains your partial downloads.

If you still get the error 8008 then the workaround is a real pain and you'd need to change your DNS address temporarily to work around it.

I'm getting this problem with the latest episode of LOST (it's the season finale and all). It gets to 70MB (seemingly) then jumps back to 60.1MB, stops, with "err = 8008" next to it, and it pops up with the error message telling me to "check for purchases".

Tried deleting everything in "Downloads", it still happens every time. 😟

Having same issue with last episode of lost, just stops at 70mb and tells me its corrupt. Something must be wrong with this file?

70mb, that's what I get. Glad it's not just me, anyway... now, how about a fix :P

Yep same here. 70MB Lost FINAL EPISODE!!!!!! Of all the episodes for this to happen on!!!!! No fixes yet then?

Nope. I even tried making a new account and buying it again and that didn't work, so now I'm £3.78 out of pocket. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

It didn't work downloading on another computer at home either. If anyone was wondering.

I am also having problems with this, and I have also deleted everything from "downloads" what else is there we can try?

I have submitted this item for investigation. Apple takes the quality of the items offered on the iTunes Store seriously and will investigate the issue with this item, but I can't say when or if the issue will be resolved. Please try again in a few weeks.

I have also received a reply from iTunes customer services suggesting all the fixes that already appear on their website. I told them I'd already tried these!! they also sent me loads of links for Windows XP - very nice but I told them I am using Windows Vista.

Seems to me they couldn't care less now they have my money. Brilliant! Thanks for nothing Apple.

Tell them it could be a problem on their end, it might reinforce the point.

Reported this problem as well, and got the usual useless troubleshooting script. Have repeated my original response word for word and pointed them back at this thread, I suppose in a few weeks they might get off their backsides and do something about it...

Yep same with me, last episode of Lost, also happened with the last episode of supernatural :\
whats the point of this discussions if apple does not take the time to actually fix the problems! :\
i want to watch that last episode so badly grr

This is happening to me too, cant download the episode, tried everything, including deleting my download folder, can anybody help? can we contact apple directly by phone, clearly this is a big problem

On to my third response to apple now. TO be sure I've followed all of the steps they suggested, apart from creating a new windows user account, which sounds fatuous to me. And why should I have to do that when all the signs indicate that it's a problem with the file?

Has anyone got this to work?

I have sent them SO many emails about this but they insist the problem is my end and get the feeling they think I'm a complete idiot. Have tried the methods they suggested and pointed to this board and also the review board for Lost to no avail. They aren't taking this seriously.
