Garageband Unexpectedly Quit.. Relaunch. EVERYTHING LOST :(

Is there any way of getting it all back? My time machine wasn't turned on 😟

2 hour recording session...

Whole song completed.

I was just exporting to iTunes, and it QUIT... asked if i wanted to relaunch.

OMG.

I'm SO FRUSTRATED!

Latest MacBook :)

you can probably recover all audio recordings. ctrl-click on the project, choose "show contents", and open the media folder. drop all the audio recordings into the timeline of a new GB project

Can you not relaunch the GarageBand file that quit on you? Is your GB song file itself corrupted or is the GB application corrupted?

First try to fix the GB application if that's broken. Trash the preferences (both of them). Rebuild permissions. See if that works.

If it's your file and not the application that's broken, you still may be able to salvage audio from your song: control click on your song file. Select the option to "Show Package Contents." Inside you may find your audio files, available for rescue.
