Error 2330 - Can't unistall, reinstall, or repair itunes
I've had iTunes working fine on my laptop up until a couple days ago (for my iPod Mini). I'd purchased a Nano for my mom for Mother's Day and thought I'd download some songs from my iTunes for now until her laptop was back from the shop (in for routine maintenance). When I plugged in her Nano to my computer, my iTunes went mad. I am now unable to open iTunes, I get the error message:
Error writing to file: C:\ProgramFiles\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\iTunes.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory.
If I try to uninstall iTunes I get the following messages:
iTunes cannont run because some of its required files are missing. Please reintall iTunes. OK
I click OK then get:
The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2330. OK
I click OK then get:
Fatal error during installation.
I've tried downloading and installing the most recent version of iTunes from the Apple website and part way through installation get the same messages again and again. Have tried removing it through my Control Panel and get the same thing. Have also tried the Repair function and get now where.
At this point I can't even use it for my Mini which is quite frustrating. I've also tried searching the Troubleshooting section provided by Apple but don't find anything relating this particular issue. If there is ANYONE who can help me to resolve this issue, I can't tell you how appreciative I'd be.
Thank you & regards,
Jaelei
