Trying to use Canopus ADVC-1394 w/FCP...
I know this card is nowhere near being the +'New Kid On The Block'+ but it has been and awesome card for me on the PC side. I've now installed it on my MAC to use w/FCP since I don't have a MAC analog capture device and my Cameras aren't always available to use as an A/D Converter.
I'm running FC Studio 2 and when I go to Capture in FCP I do NOT see how to select the ADVC-1394 as the Analog device I would like to capture from. iMovie can see and capture Analog flawlessly from the ADVC-1394 via S-Video & RCA Audio.. but it's a bit embarrassing to load iMovie for capture when I have a client in the Edit Bay. I would much rather have them see FCP doing the work. +(since this is a program that their Son, Daughter, Nephew, etc. does NOT have)+ The Perceived value is much greater w/ FCP.
1. Am I missing something here to get FCP to see the Analog ADVC-1394?
2. Is there a Quick Setup for the ADVC-1394 or similar for capturing Analog into FCP?
+Any and all advice, suggestions, help, etc is greatly appreciated.+
