Sony Ericsson K850i problems with iTuneMyWalkman via USB

1) Both the phone and the memory card mount, but the phone won't reliably dismount and generates the "device was not put away properly" error message.
2) Syncing is shown as in progress by iTuneMyWalkman's progress window, but in reality the sync only worked the first time I did it. Since then, no songs are transferred each time I try.
3) There are a numerous AppleScript error messages from iTuneMyWalkman whilst trying.
