Loops imported to Logic Loop Browser have vanished

Hi i'm quite a new mac user, i recently got logic as i swapped from PC to mac, and with out thinking i added all my loops from my external hard drive straight into logic loop brower, im not sure if i added them or just imported from the current location, but i'm trying to clean my mac hard drive up and i cant find the loops anywhere on my system, i've tried the folders people have suggested such as

libary/application support/logic etc
libary/audio/apple loops/ etc

theres just nothing in any of the files, i've even searched spot light for the individual files and found nothing, i thought this maybe because i hadnt imported to the mac hard drive and just left them on my external, but when i unplug the external hard drive, the loops still play from the loop browser, i've been trying to work this out for 3 or 4 hours and its driving me nuts as i'm new to mac and just cant work it out. and help would be greatly appericated.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2)

If they're showing up in the Loop Browser, then they're definitely on your system. They should show up in Spotlight, but that's another matter. Since they're loops you added and not ones from Logic, they'd be in Hard Drive/Users/your user name/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Etc.

Sounds like you might want to Reindex your drive for Spotlight too. Go to your System Preferences, select Spotlight then Privacy, and drag your entire HD in there. Then take it out of the list, and it will reindex the whole thing. Might take a while, but that will hopefully fix the indexes.

Good Luck!
