Setup Assistant continues to launch after Office 2008 SP1

I have reinstalled Office 2008 from scratch and then applied the SP1, but every time I try to launch either Word or Excel the office setup asisstant continues to launch requesting that I participate to a Customer Experience Improvement Program. I say no, the assistant quits, but then when I try again to launch word the same issue appears over and over again. I was wondering if anyone could help me with this!
