No audio after using Compressor

Hello folks,
I have NTSC DV video, which I am trying to compress using Compressor. I am using DVD MPEG2 5.0 Mbps 2 pass compression with Dolby Digital audio at 192 Kbps. Everything seems to work fine, compressed video has much smaller size, quality is good... but there is no audio. Any idea what I do wrong?
Thank you for any advise.

Hello.

When using Compressor to encode to DVD, 2 separate files are created, m2v (video) and ac3 (audio). They are not muxed together. You then import both of those files into DVD Studio Pro, and combine them on a video track there.

A really good website that will walk you through the workflows associated with Compressor and DVDSP is DVD StepByStep

What is your target delivery source? DVD, web?

if you want MPEG-2 then you need to make it a program or a transport stream. But you have to make sure the computer it will play on can handle playing an MPEG movie. Many cannot without a plug-in. An H.264 is way better than MPEG-2 at a smaller file size and a lower bit rate. If your player can play an H.264, use that. It will contain both audio and video multiplexed into one file.
