help! ..numbers+automatic fix

So I'm using one of the templates Numbers has provided and I cannot seem to change the automatic fix the program does on what I enter into the graph. It keeps changing it to a date. Is there anything I can do to change this automatic change?

It would be helpful to know WHICH template you are using and where you are entering the data.

Usually the graph reflects the format of the cells it is graphing. Have you tried changing the format of the cells in which you are entering the data?
