DVCPRO HD 1080p30 Codec on G5 and G4 based processor

I ahve a movie file that is in the DVCPRO HD 1080p30 IMA 4:1 Codec witha ressolution of 1280x1080 that will play in Quicktime on the Intel based systems, but not on the G5 or G4 based systems. Using the same version of Quicktime on all of the stations and it doesn't matter if it is Pro or not. It seems to be a hardware based issue, and I am wondering if it is happening to others.
