10.5.3 Problems with Au validation

Hello,
I 've updated my computer to Leopard 10.5.3, And when I try to validate my Audiounit many of them that used pass au validation under 10.5.2 doesn't validate anymore (Most amp simulator from IK multimedia and OhmForce plugin)

Does anyone experience the same.

Thanks

MacBookPro, Mac OS X (10.5.3), I hope I soon have a sonicCore audiocard

A similar thing happened to me when I upgraded to 8.0.2, but I'm still on OSX 10.4.11. The validation errors I had were "could not be opened" messages rather than "failed," so I ended up selecting those particular components then hitting reset and rescan selection (or something like that) and those passed validation. If the errors on your end were definitely failed audio units, then this might not work, but I'm just throwing an option out there.

Me Too,
First, it was only Amplitube 2 and the Amplitube Ampeg Bass Pack. I foolishly ran a validation on A2, which I've BEEN USING for the past 5 months, and it, too, failed. On the 1 to 2 Channel Render Test at 256 frames. Error states "Output Buffer Size does not match requested num frames"

There's a little more, however...

I installed the Metal and Bass packs yesterday, they were working great, in standalone, hadn't tried them as plugs. Went to fire up Metal tonight, Kernel Panic. Happened a couple more times, so I uninstalled it and got rid of everything related to it on the hard drive. Reinstalled. As soon as I started it (and selected the M-Audio Mobile Pre USB as the in and out, Kernel Panic. This whole thing happened repeatedly.

So finally I fired up Logic to see if it'd work as an AU. That's when the validation problems occured.

Also, I started having audio problems with the MobilePre at this time, very low, crackly output, whether it was Logic or iTunes. So I moved the speakers to the built in output on my iMac (current Gen, 20" 2.4GHz processor. Logic 8.02, Leopard 10.5.3 and changed my desired output in System Preferences. Everything worked fine.

So, I uninstalled and reinstalled Metal AGAIN. Fired up Amplitube Metal, set it to the built in output and input, it worked!!!!!!!! So I switched everything back around to the MobilePre USB, set the settings in Metal to use that, and it worked!!!!!! Hoo Haaaaaaa. I opened the audio settings in Metal, just to see where I'd set everything. I hit cancel a few seconds later, boom - Kernel Panic! Without changing anything!!!!!!! Now it panics every time I use it.

Still cannot get A2 to pass validation, even though it was validated. Must be a problem with the validation in Logis 8.02. Dammit!!!!!!!

At this point, I'm thinking about using Time Machine to roll the system back to a couple of days ago when everything was fine........

This morning, I restored my system from a Time Machine backup a couple days before I upgraded to 10.5.3 and LP 8.02. I reinstalled the IK Multimedia stuff (all the Amplitubes). Metal still will not run in standalone mode, nothing I do will make it run that way. However, loading up Logic Pro 8.01, all the Amplitube plugs validated just fine and work great inside Logic.

Honestly, I'm venturing a guess that it's not Apple's wrongdoing. After all, 10.5.2 was the current version of Leopard when Metal was released a few days ago, yet, it will not run in standalone mode. Sounds like shoddy QA from IK Multimedia to me.....

Hello friends...
same problem here but.. VST to AU version 2
AU's ampegSVX and Amplitube made inactive
run the VST to AU version 2 ...
and ready.. fine work on Logic 8 and 10.5.3
WHY..? I don't know but now are working

Que tal amigos
con el mismo problema pero...
VST to AU version 2
desactiven las AU's (Ampeg SVX y Amplitub 2)
con el VST to AU version 2
corranlos como VSTs y de algun modo funciona perfecto en Logic 8 y 10.5.3
