Me Too,
First, it was only Amplitube 2 and the Amplitube Ampeg Bass Pack. I foolishly ran a validation on A2, which I've BEEN USING for the past 5 months, and it, too, failed. On the 1 to 2 Channel Render Test at 256 frames. Error states "Output Buffer Size does not match requested num frames"
There's a little more, however...
I installed the Metal and Bass packs yesterday, they were working great, in standalone, hadn't tried them as plugs. Went to fire up Metal tonight, Kernel Panic. Happened a couple more times, so I uninstalled it and got rid of everything related to it on the hard drive. Reinstalled. As soon as I started it (and selected the M-Audio Mobile Pre USB as the in and out, Kernel Panic. This whole thing happened repeatedly.
So finally I fired up Logic to see if it'd work as an AU. That's when the validation problems occured.
Also, I started having audio problems with the MobilePre at this time, very low, crackly output, whether it was Logic or iTunes. So I moved the speakers to the built in output on my iMac (current Gen, 20" 2.4GHz processor. Logic 8.02, Leopard 10.5.3 and changed my desired output in System Preferences. Everything worked fine.
So, I uninstalled and reinstalled Metal AGAIN. Fired up Amplitube Metal, set it to the built in output and input, it worked!!!!!!!! So I switched everything back around to the MobilePre USB, set the settings in Metal to use that, and it worked!!!!!! Hoo Haaaaaaa. I opened the audio settings in Metal, just to see where I'd set everything. I hit cancel a few seconds later, boom - Kernel Panic! Without changing anything!!!!!!! Now it panics every time I use it.
Still cannot get A2 to pass validation, even though it was validated. Must be a problem with the validation in Logis 8.02. Dammit!!!!!!!
At this point, I'm thinking about using Time Machine to roll the system back to a couple of days ago when everything was fine........
