10.5.3 Problems with Au validation

The new update Pro applications, dont resolve nothing.

The only problem I've experienced by bypassing AU validation, for IK Multimedia Amplitube plugins, is when removing the plugin from an instrument; Logic crashes or freezes.

I was so worried by the failed AUvalidation with Atmosphere and Trilogy that I had to find a solution.

Here it is:

Use the FXpansion VSTtoAU Adaptor v2.0.

Put a copy of the VST versions of the instruments of the VSTtoAU vstplugins folder.

Put a symbolic link to the instruments respective .dat files in the same folder.

Launch VSTtoAU

Done!

You'll find fully working VIs in a VST folder in the I/O>AU Instruments folder.

Only issue is you have to reassign the instruments in all previous Logic projects, and your former aupresets won't be available in the wrapped instruments.

caution 10.5.4 and the G-force oddity don't play with auval together
worked in 10.4.11 - 10.5.3 no issues but hey lets screw it up anyway !
Apple should include auval as an option and or diagnoses tool only ,and not as a gate keeper .

Maybe it will solve yours ?

I went in to User/Library/Preferences(/ohmforce/oddity and /gforce/oddity ;for me )
sent them to the trash and did a fresh install after that my plugin passed validation just fine .
Not sure if IK plug's are set up in this way but my gforce,korg,ohmforce,any with a standalone version are so maybe it will hep you to .

Because auval is not an appliction feature, but a Mac OS X feature.
