How Do I Add Lyrics to My iMovie?

Adding Text (lyrics) to my iMovie music video

Hi, Everyone:

I'm a musician. I have simple videos of myself singing and playing guitar. I want to add lyrics to the movie---perfectly timed so that when the words leave my mouth, they show up in text on the bottom of the video---kind of like a follow the bouncing ball, karaoke thing.

Can someone spell out clearly how I can go about doing this?

here are two ways to do this.

1. *This is the easier way.* You can add a title for each line of your song when you sing it. For example, if a a particular moment in the video, you are saying "pigs can fly", make a title and place it at the point in time when you ar singing it.

2. *This is the harder way.* You can split the movie up into frames, and then add a title of the word you are saying in each frame. For example, in one frame the title would appear "pigs", in the next it would appear "pigs can", and in the last frame it would appear "pigs can fly".

Hi

My guessing is that this is pretty hard to do in iMovie'08.

Slightly better done in iMovie HD 6 where You got a better frame control on
where You add Your texts (in time - not in space - text tool isn't so good)

Full control of both space and time: FinalCut Express/Pro

Still this is a tedious task and tools for text-settings i realtime as in broadcasted
materials are not easy to find and expencive. I think that "Media-100" or
any other pro-applications might have links to this. Price in fantacy.

I write my texts down in a word-processor and Cut & Past
(when text setting a movie or part of it)
