Disk Too Slow Error message

Hello, I am using Logic Express 7 on my Powerbook G4. When I try to record something from the Line In, it records for a while, then says "error, Disk too slow" and it cannot record anymore. The same settings work fine on my girlfriends Powerbook G4 (slightly newer) so I don't know what the problem is. It's extremely frustrating.

Does anyone know what this means or how to solve it?

Hi im having a similar problem I have Powerbook G4 667mhz, 256MB with Logic 7 Express. Software will not run and I keep getting "Disk too slow or system overload" even with only two tracks (two audio instruments) running. I have been using logic 4.7 on OS9 which ran fine with up to twenty plug-ins running. In system performance Audio CPU is maxed out, Disk I/O is fine. Tried buffer size, logging in as different user, with internal S/C and all the usuals. Anyone any ideas? Can't be too short of power with just two plug-ins running! Help would be very much appreciated!!!
