XCode: deleting files

How can I simply delete a file from an XCode project? I can delete groups and folders, but not files. What am I missing?

For at least three years now, there has been a bug in XCode that effects the Resources folder (at least.) Where it no longer responds to drag and drop and probably not right-clicks either. The files in the folder "go dead." I just close and open the folder and it comes back "alive."

No idea if this is your issue. Another problem could be that you are trying to delete an item that makes no sense to delete or isn't a file or something. Care to share specifics?

I'm not sure. Files seem to be messed up in general. They don't end up in the folders they are supposed to be in. In fact, I think the 'group' system XCode uses is useless; folders accomplish the same thing...

I just can't delete files; simple as that. There is no option to delete a file when I right click; only touch, untouch, that type of stuff. Speaking of which, what does 'untouch' do, exactly?

Oh, the key combinations don't seem to delete, either 😟
