flatten images

Is there a way to flatten images so they are embedded in the document so they won't move when you export your document? I put flatten images in the help and nothing came up?

It's simply because for Pages (like for me) flatten image means nothing.

May you explain what you want exactly.

I'm aware of two kinds of images in Pages:

inline ones
floating ones.

These two kinds are perfectly described in the Help.

If you problem is to group in a single object an image and the mask used to crop it, I don't remember to see such a feature.

There are two senses of flattening:

1. If you apply transparency to an image (raster object) or illustration (vector object), and

2. If you apply channels or layers to an image or illustration.

Flattening in the former sense has to do with transparency being supported in PDF and not in PostScript, so a flattening filter allows control.

Flattening is not necessary, if you do not have to convert from PDF to PostScript for printing. How did embedding and moving wind their way into this question?

Best,

Henrik
