Roland TD-9 Electronic Drum Set

I am trying to get my newly acquired Roland TD-9SX electronic drum set to play and record in Logic 8.0.2. I am using headphones to listen to the edrums. It seems the more I read the less I know. The Logic 7 forum does have some discussions but not enough for my needs. I am able to play and record audio instruments and my Evolution MK-461C keyboard (USB connected) with no problems. I am using the Yamaha HS-80M Monitors. So far I am considering the following settings:

1. In the TD-9 Module
a. Local Control OFF or ON
b. Soft Thru OFF or ON

2. PreSonus FireBox
a. Hardware Settings Clock Source: SPDIF
b. SPDIF I/O – MIDI IN and MIDI OUT connected to TD-9 module IN and OUT

3. Logic Pro 8.0.2
a. Environment external MIDI instrument
b. Choose Multi Instrument

4. Additive Drums 1.1 with the drum map for Logic 8 downloaded.

After various adjustments, I can't get things to work. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Do you mean, record as MIDI, or record as audio?

I can tell you the way I used to set up and use my V-Kit with Logic, if that would help...?

Since I am new to all this whichever is easier to setup and then I will learn the other.

The goal is to presumably do what you require, rather than being easy to setup.

What is it you want to be able to do?

I purchased the edrums to add drums to my songs. I would like to record the drum sounds on individual tracks and process them as needed. My main goal right now is to have my songs loop through my monitors and for me to play along on drums until I can find the right beat. Then I will record the drum beats and incorporate them in my songs. I am currently taking my beginning drum lessons so I would like to hear the sounds through the monitors and not have to purchase another speaker for the drums.

I'm jumping in on someone else's question, but I'd love to know how you're setting up your V-Drums w/Logic. I'd like to be able to access the Roland module sounds in Logic. So far, I've only been able to trigger the Logic sounds w/the Roland pads. I followed the manual pg. 451 and have gotten signal but no audio.

PS - Do you recommend recording from the Roland as MIDI or audio?
