selecting highest values from a list of numbers
hi,
i have a list of 7 numbers, each in individual cells in a column (J14 to J20)
i'd like to have another cell (C25) that shows the total sum of the 5 highest number, ignoring the 2 lowest.
there is the likelihood that some of the 7 numbers are the same, so the calculation would need to realise that and select 5 highest numbers, and add them together to be displayed in the new cell.
is this at all possible? I've looked into 'lookup tables' but have hit a dead end.
thanks in advance,
james
