Master Pitch doesn't work on loops

I thought Master Pitch would work on a blue loop, but I can't seem to get it to do anything. I realize you can't transpose real instrument recordings (purple) using Master Pitch, but it's not working on a real-instrument loop, either. What am I doing wrong?
