Setting default equalizer settings for a podcast

There are several spoken word podcasts I subscribe to where the audio is too quiet - I have to crank my car stereo to max to hear it while driving, and then am unable to have the windows down even a crack or have the vents on high.

I am able to correct this problem by changing the equalizer setting to "Spoken Word" and more importantly, increasing the volume adjustment on that same tab. It is tiresome to do this to each new podcast episode after it's downloaded. I've tried changing the settings on the podcast listing itself, which makes the changes to all currently downloaded episodes of that podcast, but does not make the changes to future downloaded episodes.

Anybody know of a way to somehow automate changing these options on all future episodes of selected podcasts?

Apple - how about a new feature in the next release of iTunes?

I can offer a suggestion to make this step easier.

Create a new Smart playlist of...
• Podcast is true
• Play Count is 0
• Kind contains audio

This should gather all your new podcast episodes in one playlist while excluding any video podcasts. Select all tracks, open Get Info, and apply the desired EQ & Volume Adjustment to all of them at the same time. Even if you are reapplying the setting over and over to unheard podcasts, it's still much faster than doing it one at a time.
