Conflict: My OS is Windows 2000 Pro. and I have a 3rd gen. ipod nano.

I know that I need to have either Windows XP or Vista to run itunes 7.6, but I was wondering if there is an older version of itunes that I could download and if it would work for my ipod.

There is an older version of iTunes that will work with Windows 2000 but it's below the required specification for the latest Nano:
iTunes 7.3.2 for Windows 2000

So I either need to upgrade my OS or downgrade my ipod. Do I have any other options?

If you want to use one of the latest iPod models, you'll need to upgrade your OS.
