San Jose Airport Free WiFi Screwed Up Safari

San Jose airport launched a free WiFi service that I used this afternoon while waiting for a flight. Hours later, I find that when I try to back up to my home page, Safari will lock up, waiting for a response from the SJC free wifi website. I've tried quitting/restarting the application, erasing the history, and verified that my home page is set correctly in the preferences - I even deliberately erased and re-set my home page address to make sure.

Still, after clicking a link and then trying to back up to my home page, Safari will initially display the desired home page address [cm.my.yahoo.com], then there will appear in the location bar this address:
https://sjcfreewifi.sjc.org/login.html?redirect=cm.my.yahoo.com/
with a page name of "Cisco Systems Inc. Web Authentication Redirect"

does anyone know how to get rid of this pernicious virus-y bug that the airport gave me?! help!!

by the way, THANK YOU SAN JOSE AIRPORT FOR THIS INCREDIBLE WASTE OF MY TIME.

Um, timmerbee, why should we "WATCH OUT" for it?

As Hawaiian_Starman already stated: There is no problem with the wifi access, it was merely an awkward state which your machine was in (which was easily remedied via his instructions), which needed to be resolved.

Note that the service does not yet work with iPhone or iPod touch, but that is completely separate from the issue you seem to have encountered. Please don't needlessly scare people regarding a false interpretation of the cause of a problem you have found.
