Hi. I am trying to put a hyperlink in one image inside an email. I can see the image, I can use the hyperlink command in edit but nothing happen. Any suggestions?
nothing should happen when you are composing the message. However, if you added a hyperlink to the image in your message correctly, it will show up on the receiver end of your e-mail. just send an email like this to yourself and see that it works.
to add a link to an image, select the image in the mail composition window and go to mail menu->edit->link->add.
Hi. Thanks for your reply. I tried what you said but it did work. Here is what I am doing. I am dragging the image into the text space in mail. After that I am clicking on it, going to edit, link, add, pasting the address, clicking ok. that should do it right?
yes, that's it. as i said you won't actually see any difference when you do this in the message composition window but the link will be added. when you send the message, the e-mail receiver will be able to click on the image and go to the linked address.
hmm, strange. as i said it works for me. Just tried it out to make sure. maybe something is getting messed up during the delivery. Open the sent message in the sent mailbox. does the hyperlink work there?
BTW, what version of Mail are you using? Mine is 3.3. I've done this before and it also worked in 3.1 and 3.2
Hi VK: I am working with version 3.3 now. Was working with version 3.2 yesterday. But it still not working in the sent or in the received. You know how it is a simple thing gets really complicated. Any suggestion? Thanks for your time.
Hi VK. Finally I figured it out. The link function don't work with pdf files. I changed the extension to jpeg and it work perfectly. Just for you to know. Thanks again for you time and thoughts.
