Whenever I would try to burn a DvD I would get this error.

The Drive Reported An Error:
Sense Code = 0 x 73, 0 x 03

I have a Matshita DvD-R UJ-857E

I use Toast 9 titanium.

I can burn Cds in iTunes fine though.

I don’t know if this information will help but I will post it anyway.

The first thing to do is to try a different brand of DVD media. I have had very good luck with Verbatim. Some drives have trouble with certain brands or just batches of media.

On the other hand, if the problem continues then you probably have a defective optical drive.

When you burn, don't move the Computer,it has to be at 0 degres, if you move it just as little as 5 or 10 degres it's gonna mark that error. I use to have the same thing. I use Sony DVD+R media, as long as you don't move the mac it will burn pefrectly, it shouldn't be in that way cuz it's a portable computer. I have a lot of issues with this new macbook pro, but anyways I'm not gonna buy a Windows PC.
    Good luck.
