iPod Fifth Generation: Connecting to my HDTV

Is there anyway to connect a 80 GB Ipod Video to my HDTV with an 8th inch RCA cable that only has red and white jacks? I have two of those cables but none of the 8th inch RCA cables that have red white yellow. I'd figured I would ask as I read the video goes through the red.

My problem is, I can't find one of these cables ate at best buy, radio shack or stables around here. Well I lied, I did find one at staples, it was a 10' 8th inch Monster RC cable that ran almost $100 bucks. Not work it.

I was just hopping to see if I could make it work with what I already got before I go out and buy the apple cable for $20 bucks. Which I think I might still do.

Thanks=)

If it has only two connectors, those are for audio only.

If this as the 5.5G video iPod, you need a 3.5mm to RCA A/V (audio/video) cable.
If it is a newer iPod classic, you will need the Apple cables.

I can't find one of these cables ate at best buy, radio shack or stables around here
