Hey DJ Chance,

This is because you imported the photos to iPhoto and left them on the iPhone. When you import photos to iPhoto an option to delete originals is provided. You can delete the photos from the iPhone manually. Another option is delete the photos from iPhoto and import them again choosing to delete originals.

More information available in the iPhone User Guide.

Photos captured by your iPhone are stored in the iPhone's Camera Roll.

All photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone are stored in the the iPhone's Photo Library.

If you have several folders that contain photos that are transferred from your computer, all photos in all folders are stored in your iPhone's Photo Library.

Photos available in the several folders below are not duplicated. Photos available in the several folders below contain a pointer to the original photo stored in the iPhone's Photo Library - where all photos transferred from your computer are stored, regardless how many folders that contain photos are selected to be transferred from your computer to your iPhone.

I use iPhoto on my Mac, which supports creating photo albums. All photos in all albums are stored in the main iPhoto library. A photo cannot be placed in an album without being in the main iPhoto library. This is similar to an iTunes playlist. A song cannot be available in an iTunes playlist without being available in the main iTunes library. Songs in an iTunes playlist are not duplicated - the playlist contains a pointer to the original song in the main iTunes library.

I currently have 9 iPhoto albums transferred to my iPhone with a total of 140 photos. All 140 photos are stored in my iPhone's Photo Library. It is as follows with my actual albums with a different name:

Photo Library (140)
Album #1 (8)
Album #2 (4)
Album #3 (6)
Album #4 (56)
Album #5 (17)
Album #6 (6)
Album #7 (25)
Album #8 (6)
Album #9 (12)

This way, I can view the 6 photos available in Album #3 only by selecting this album, or I can view all photos available in all albums by selecting Photo Library.

This is similar to transferring several iTunes playlists to your iPhone. You can listen to, or select from the songs available in a particular playlist only by selecting the playlist, or you can listen to or selecting from all songs available in all playlists by selecting Songs - where all songs in all playlists transferred to your iPhone are stored.

Thanks for the help you guys, i fixed the issue, I just moved the "pics" folder from where it was to my desktop, then synced the phone so it got rid of the "pics" folder and removed the pics from my photo library, put the folder back where it was and then synced it again and it fixed the problem. Thanks for the reply's.
