Hello,

I am trying to burn a DVD in Disk Utility and choose Leave disk Appendable as I was able to do in 10.3 Panther, but that option is greyed out in Leopard's DU.

I was able to use the same brand DVD disk in 10.3 and make it an appendable burn.

Does this work in Leopard? I have read the Help on it and procedure has not changed. The DVD disk is appendable as reported in About this Mac > Disk Burning, but Leopard does not want to co-opererate. Am I missing something, some subtle variation required to the process or is this a defect in Leopard's Disk Utility?

iMac; eMac; iBook, Mac OS X (10.5.3)

Are you absolutely sure you were able to do this in 10.3? Mac OS X has never supported multisession DVDs AFAIK. CDs yes, DVDs no.

Oh right, Kiraly, that answers my question. I did burn the DVD in 10.3 as appendable, and it does verify, but Console reports errors in its journal and does not load it, so you are correct. Thanks for clarifying what can and can't be appendable.
