Is an HP Deskjet F2180 printer compatible to use with Airport Express

I have been trying to set up my printer to use wirelessly with my Airport Express.

The printer works fine when it is connected directly via USB cable to the MacBook Pro. But it is a different story with the Airport Express.
Both the internet and iTunes (remote speakers) work fine - but I'm stumped with the printer.

Is it possible that the HP Deskjet F2180 is just not designed to be used wirelessly.

Thanks, in hope

MacBook Pro 2.2ghz, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

The instructions on this page worked for my F2180/Airport Express combination. I'm so glad that I don't have to buy a new printer in order to print wirelessly! I installed foomatic-rip-2008-01-30.dmg, gpigs-8.61-ub.dmb, and hpijs-2.7.10-UB.dmg. I followed the instruction on the page. One additional instruction from me: the printer setup utility automatically selects "HP Deskjet 2100 series" in the "print using" pulldown menu, which would appear to be correct. But look in the list, just above "HP Deskjet 2100 series," and select "HP Deskjet 2100 Foomatic/hpijs (recommended)."

This driver works with many different printer makes and models. Highly recommended!
