Importing OMF from Final Cut - avoiding split audio?

When an OMF is imported from Final Cut into Logic Pro the audio is split onto two tracks.

Does anybody have a useful way of working with these? Or better yet - a way to convert the split mono files to stereo and appear on a single track?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.2), Logic Pro 8.0.2

I have tried this approach with unfortunate results. I had saved an OMF from Digital Performer which I subsequently imported into Logic. Logic of course did not properly convert the split stereo files into interleaved files (Why is there simply no option for this? Or DP should have an option to save as interleaved during the export).

So I tried the Convert command as suggested on the Arrange window...It worked...Except that two stereo tracks were produced for each original interleaved file. Not only that, the tracks were stereo mirrors (channels reversed). So in each case, one has to go through and delete one track of the pair after the conversion. Am I doing something wrong here?

Thank you for any info....

Good advice.

After doing this, delete the no longer needed second (originally mono right channel) track of each track pair in Logic.

Nota Bene: To hear the resulting interleaved tracks in stereo in Logic, you must change the track from mono to stereo (toggle the mono/stereo symbol in the bottom left corner of each corresponding Channel Strip in the Mixer)!!
