Adding Roman Numerals as Page Numbers

Okay - My wife has been using Pages for several months now and is very happy with it.....

However: what she wants to do is the following....have an intro to a book page numbered (in the footer) i, ii, iii, iv, v etc

followed by a normal section with 1,2,3 etc

we have searched but this doesn't appear possible....you can create lists with roman numerals, but not an automatic page numbering sequence in a section of a document

Am I missing something or is this not possible

Any help/comments appreciated

Hi Stuart,

This is not too hard just make sure that you have the different areas seperated by section breaks. Show the Inspector then click the layout button then the section button. Uncheck use previous headers and footers. Then right click on the page number in the header or footer and change it to the style that you want. CMD + Click for those without a two button mouse.
