Making the font size bigger, globally

How do you globally change the font size?

My wife has some difficulty reading text on our 15" MacBook Pro, using Mac OS X 10.5. I looked for some way to increase the font size - in some manner that would make the menu bar, menus, mailbox names, etc. more readable. We can increase the font size for specific windows of specific applications, but not all windows of all applications.

We've tried the Zoom function - and that's pretty neat, but not the solution we are looking for, as it's somewhat cumbersome.

We'd tried changing the screen resolution from it's native mode, but then things just don't "look right."

There must be a default font setting. Please help us find it.

How do we send all the contents of this forum to apple.

For things which are related to accessibility, email accessibility@apple.com. If you want to address it as a general usability concern then I suggest feedback@apple.com. You're not likely to get a direct response to either address but your emails will be read - I get responses occasionally.
