Ipod Classic+mini Cooper

I'm not familiar with the mini Cooper interface, but it could be that there are some compatibility issues with the new iPod.

You could try resetting the iPod while it's connected...
Reset iPod

Also, make sure that all of the software on the iPod is up-to-date via iTunes (make sure it says that software is updated). If there had been an issue, it may have been fixed with a recent update.

I am having the same issue with 08 Mini Cooper iPod interface. What's strange is it did work and then after recently updating the iPod classic it no longer recognizes any music on it. I too, have an older ipod and it continues to work fine. Any ideas? Reseting the ipod didn't work.

Uh oh. I just got an iPod Classic and I was looking forward to installing the iPod adapter in my Mini Cooper S. Should I not purchase the adapter and simply continue to use my AC Input in the glove box?

I reset my iPod and changed it's name... and now it works. Not sure why? Perhaps a strange character in name? (Just a thought) Maybe it just became corrupt from syncing? I dunno, why it fixed itself, but it did.
