H U G E Safari latency now since updating to Mac OS X 10.5.3

I thought I was going insane until I read that I'm not alone.

I am having HUGE Safari issues since 10.5.3. I wouldn't say that the speed of my internet connection is slow (it's still 15+ Meg), but the Safari browser now has a ton of latency. It waits a lot while starting, bringing up pages, etc.

Any way to restore to 10.5.2... like I could so on XP?

Any thoughts on a fix?

Dave

Hi

Welcome to Apple Discussions

If Safari is slow to startup, reset Safari via the Safari Menu. Include the following in the reset: History, Cache, Cookies and WebSite Icons.

Slowness in page rendering usually can be remedied by adding DNS server codes in System Preferences>Network panel. Go to that panel, click on your Internet connection, then select "advanced". In the DNS panel, enter 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2, select OK, then "apply".

Restart Safari.
