Formatting images help

Hi I am new to Pages and I need to format the shape of an image if possible.

Basically I have added a shape to the document and inserted and image into the shape, all good so far. I would like the image to be as large as and the same shape as the base shape I have inserted it into. Can this be done? If so has anyone got any tips?

thanks

Hello Marie,

welcome to the Pages Discussions. To adjust an image inside a shape, click the 5th image from left of the infopanel (it is the "graphics" tab with the gray rectangle and the green circle). in the top section, you can set the "size behaviour" with the popup gadget. With the little black rectangles at the edges and at the corners of the shape you can controll the size of the shape. If the shape is unselected, click it one time and you are in layout mode and you can see the handles. Click the shape two times (double click) and you are in text mode and you are able to type text into the shape.

But what do you mean when you say: "...and the same shape as the base shape I have inserted it into."? Do you want the text not only to embed the shape as a rectangle block, but to flow around the curved borders? Please describe your layout goal with a little bit more details.

Frank.
