Lost my Brother driver & can't install it back!

My set up:

* iMac Alu (early 2008)
* 10.5.3
* Brother HL 2030

The printing was stuck at 16% (again...) so I decided to remove the printer driver from it's folder (use>library>printer) to run the installation again.

But installing the driver again gave me a new problem:
I can't add a new printer because it's gone & no where to be seen! See this picture: http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/8884/picture2rd0.jpg

Checking the 'custom installation' window during the installation shows me two files which are ZERO bytes?... See this picture: http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/5552/picture1vj6.jpg

I just downloaded & installed the latest Apple's Brother driver (?) but still nothing yet.

What's going on here? When was installing a printer driver such a hassle?
Can anyone help me please?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.3)

Open System Preferences-->Print&Fax-->On the left hand side, towards the bottom, click "+"-->At the top, click "More Printers"-->From the dropdown menu, is there an option for your printer brand and USB?

See if that works. That is how I have to install my OKI printer. It does not show up by default, and I have no idea why.

This doesn't work for me. When I clicked on the "+" in system preference/print & fax/other printers, I see only Canon, Epson, HP, and Lexmark. Not other brands.

Called Apple service center and went through a couple of other things such as printer driver install from the leopard DVD, but nothing worked. I even did "archive and reinstall", but the same thing...

This worked for me! Hooray!

I did re-install the printer drivers from my install DVD first though. Not sure if this step is necessary.

What happened:
* the driver I saw in System Preferences was the one that was plugged directly to my iMac when I configured.
* I had to 'ADD' the printer when I plugged it in to my Airport Express.

Thanks a lot!
